Namur Island, Kwajalein Atoll - Marines take advantage of shell holes on the beach as their half-tracks, tanks and other equipment are unloaded from landing craft. The heaviest fighting in the Marshall Islands invasion took place on Namur Island but all resistance was put down in 24 hours.
