Battle of Suicide Ridge

Marines use rifle grenades, hand grenades and Molotov Cocktais to battle the Japanese entrenched in caves on "Suicide Ridge" on Peleliu Island. The battle lasted nine days before reinforcements arrived. The Marine in the middle is throwing one of the cocktails, ignited by the flame behind him.
